The finest offensive catcher of all time and finest defensive catcher of his era. Ivan Rodriguez was built to play behind the plate.

He was named to 14 All Star teams, tallied 13 gold gloves and had 2844 hits over his career (as well as 311 home runs.)

He spent the bulk of his career in Texas, but also played well in Detroit, Houston, Washington, New York and lead the Florida Marlins to the 2003 World Series title.

One of 5 Puerto Rican players in the Hall of Fame he is a legend in his nation and ours.

He was elected to Cooperstown on his first ballot in 2017
