The most feared bat on the Dodgers great teams- Duke Snider played in 6 World Series in 16 years with the Dodgers. He clubbed 11 home runs in those 6 world series appearances.
From 1953-1957 Snider hit 40 or more home runs every season. leading the league in 1956. Snider played in the early 50s in New York when there were 3 hall of famers roaming center field for the 3 New York teams, and although his career numbers are shy of Mantle and Mays, he was more than good enough to be in a good argument.
Snider finished in the top 10 of MVP voting 5 times and the top 5 in 3 of those campaigns. His career 407 home runs and .295 career average are nothing to sneeze at either.
In 1980 Duke Snider got the call to Cooperstown- another one that took too long.
Anthony Leonelli is a 37 year old College Baseball Coach and amateur baseball arguer. If you wanna know how this list came together check here criteria. He thinks that George Brett winning batting titles in 3 decades is pretty awesome.
