#78 Ralph Kiner
Ralph Kiner
OF
1946-1955
6 Time All Star, 7 Time Home Run Champ
Baseball Hall of Fame
Ralph Kiner played 10 years in the show, but lead the league in homers in 7 of them. The premier slugger of his era Kiner twice topped 50 home runs in a season and swatted 40 or more 3 other times. He ended his career with 369 homers in only 10 seasons of play.
He also lead the league in walks 3 times, and OPS 3 times. He ranks 25th all time in career slugging percentage and sixth all time in at bats per home run (14.1).
It's easy to look at the short career or remember his career as an often misspeaking broadcaster for The Mets, but Ralph could swing it.
He was elected to Cooperstown in 1975.
Anthony Leonelli is a 37 year old College Baseball Coach and amateur baseball arguer. If you wanna know how this list came together check here criteria. He thinks that George Brett winning batting titles in 3 decades is pretty awesome.
