#96 CC Sabathia
CC Sabathia

2001-2019
6 Time All Star
1 Cy Young
CC Sabathia was a top of the rotation pitcher for virtually his entire career. He is one of only 3 left handed pitchers to ever strike out 3000 batters. He anchored some Indians rotations through some rebuilding years at the beginning of his career and helped lead them on a return to the playoffs in 2007 before a brief but memorable stopover in Milwaukee.
He then signed what at the time was the richest contract ever signed by a pitcher with the Yankees and immediately delivered leading the Yankees to a world championship in 2009 in his first year in pinstripes. He became the #1 starter in the #1 market in the game and he lived up to it before injuries lead him down a few down years later in the contract
CC Sabathia was a horse; he had 7 consecutive seasons of 200 innings from 2007-2013. He also reinvented himself later in his career as a control guy when his high velocity fastball left him.
Only 17 pitchers in the history of the game have struck out 3000 hitters and the days of the 300 win guy are probably gone. CC retired with 38 complete games, although a tiny number for some of the old school guys on this list, it's a very large number for the way the game is played now.
CC was a dude. Plain and simple.
Anthony Leonelli is a 37 year old College Baseball Coach and amateur baseball arguer. If you wanna know how this list came together check here criteria. He thinks that George Brett winning batting titles in 3 decades is pretty awesome.
